These terms govern purchases from Storybook Crochet at website-storybookcrochet.com. By placing an order, you agree to them.
About the shop
Storybook Crochet is a small handmade crochet shop operated by Madelyn in South Carolina, United States. Items are crocheted by hand in small batches. Most pieces are one-of-a-kind or made to order. Slight variations in size, shape, or color are normal for handmade work and yarn availability.
Orders and acceptance
Placing an item in your basket and proceeding to checkout constitutes an offer to purchase. We accept the offer when Stripe confirms that payment succeeded. An order email, if one arrives, is a courtesy and is not what makes the order binding. We may decline or cancel an order (and refund payment) if an item is unavailable, there is a pricing error, or we cannot fulfill it.
We do not accept bulk orders.
Pricing and payment
Prices are in US dollars. US shipping is a flat $15, collected at Stripe Checkout. Sales tax is not collected automatically at checkout. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers, card brand, or last four digits.
Shipping
We ship from the United States. US shipping is a flat $15. We do not offer local pickup. Checkout does not show a delivery date or estimate. This shop ships to US addresses and does not promise shipping outside the United States. Risk of loss transfers to you when the carrier receives the package. We package items with tissue and a hand-written tag.
Returns and refunds
Because items are handmade and often one-of-a-kind or made to order, we generally do not accept returns for change of mind or sizing preference.
If an item arrives damaged or with a clear manufacturing defect, email us at storybookcrochet@proton.me within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will work with you on a replacement or refund of the item price (shipping may not be refundable).
Custom orders and made-to-order pieces are non-refundable once production has begun, except in cases of defect.
Custom and made-to-order requests
Custom color or design requests are handled by email. We will confirm details and timing before starting. Once confirmed and paid, these are treated as made-to-order.
Intellectual property
All original designs, photographs, and text on the site belong to Storybook Crochet / Madelyn unless otherwise credited. Some patterns may be based on designs by others (for example, Pica Pau, Elisa’s crochet, Carla Mitrani); those rights remain with their creators. You may not copy, reproduce, or resell our designs or photographs without permission.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Storybook Crochet’s liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising from these terms or from an order may be brought in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your order applies to that order.
